Hell, it's not even a policy shift! It's not like the GOP platform now endorses same-sex marriage. The platform just doesn't mention it at all.

Meanwhile, the GOP Speaker of the House is on the record endorsing GOP Supreme Court justices who have suggested that same-sex marriage should cease being a constitutional right.

Trump's vice presidential candidate has endorsed exactly the same thing.

GOP members of Congress are all over Twitter and other social media platforms calling gay people groomers.

At the state and local level, GOP politicians are doing everything they can to ban books in school and municipal libraries, for the "crime" of including families with same-sex parents. Or same-sex penguin couples. Cough.

And we're supposed to be impressed because the national GOP platform doesn't mention same-sex marriage?

Please, Blanche.

And that's not to even get started with transgender issues. The GOP treats trans people like their grave threats to national security or something. Republican officials are constantly demonizing and dehumanizing trans people.

It's horrifying.

Indeed, I don't see how any LGBTQ person could vote for this horrifying party. Honestly, I don't see how any decent human being could vote Republican.

The party is so cruel. So cruel.
