Hear hear! I have over 10,000 followers on Medium and more than that on the other social media platforms. I write every day. For hours. I think about what to write every day. For hours. I read about the subjects I'm going to write about every day. For hours.

I start at 7:30 in the morning, take a break for dinner about 5:00, and then usually work again until about 8:30 at night.

I have been doing this for years. In consequence, sometimes many thousands of people will read what I write. More often, that does not happen.

I make a few dollars writing, but based on dollars per hour, it's a pittance. People who know how many hours I put in tell me I'm stupid for doing it because I'm not getting much out of it monetarily.

But that's not why I write. Passive income? When I read stuff like that I just can't stop laughing, because my work is as active as active can get. And it's damn low paid too.
