Hear hear! I have fallen deeply in love twice in my life. In both cases, the relationships took work and determination.

In neither case did that hot flash of chemical infatuation last very long. It took me a while to learn that flash isn’t love.

But what if I hadn’t by chance met those two men I bonded with? Does that mean I wouldn’t have found somebody else?

I don’t think so. I think we all have an innate capacity for deep love. Finding it isn’t automatic, but neither is it limited to some preordained soulmate.

If we love the gift of deep love in our lives, we have to go work for it.
