Hear hear! And let's not forget that this evil homophobic bigot also used his speech to personally condemn a brave gay BYU student who came out in his valedictory address. I wrote at the time that the student told family and friends that he was shocked and deeply grieved that a high official of the church would attack him like that and totally mischaracterize his message, which his faculty advisors approved before he delivered it.

So, here we have an elderly but revered man evoking a call to arms against LGBTQ people and ideas while at the same directly condemning one of those people.

Is it any wonder that we queer folks, who are a traditionally hated minority, loathe the LDS Church? We see quite accurately that the Church is a force of evil - a musket aimed at us, a conduit of unrelenting hatred against us.

Know what makes us really really fearful and angry? That Mormons in general didn't shout down that evil monster and tell him their Church has no room for pigs like him.

We see Mormons accepting his message of hatred and that makes us revile the LDS Church even more. It helps us understand clearly that most Mormons are horrible people.
