Hear hear! You know, it has occurred to me that when some cisgender men oppose the dignity and equal treatment of transgender women, their opposition feels largely rooted in misogyny.

They want women to be their toys, and a woman who seems to them outside that ability (because they can't conceive of a transgender woman being a sex object FOR THEM) is something objectionable.

Maybe that's similar but not the same thing as homophobia being rooted in misogyny.

I mean, when cisgender straight men despise gay men, they almost always express themselves in misogynistic terms. Their disdain for gay men is almost the same as their disdain for women.

The world sure would be a better with less misogyny!
