Hear hear!

Reading this just gets me so angry as I remind myself how hard major religious organizations work to morally condemn queer people.

Pope Francis publicly says that trans people are annihilators of nature. He's an ignorant, transphobic pig. He insists that gay people are sinners. He's an ignorant, homophobic pig.

On a flight to Africa with his Anglican counterpart the Archbishop of Canterbury, both men called on African nations to stop criminalizing homosexuality.

But both of them insist that homosexuality is a moral defect. The Pope's doctrines in fact specify that gay people are depraved and disordered.

So he can make mealy-mouth calls to kindness all he wants, but the people persecuting queer folks in Africa are basing their persecution on the disgusting doctrines that the Pope actively upholds. Fuck him. He's a piece of shit.

The Archbishop of Canterbury is also a piece of shit. When African bishops lost their shit over married gay bishops attending the Lambda Conference last year, he placated them by assuring him that the church will never change its doctrine that gay people are sinners.

What the fuck does he think they're going to do about persecution in Africa while he himself morally condemns us?

Fuck the Archbishop of Canterbury. He's a homophobic piece of shit.

Religious leaders with an ounce of moral courage or with an ounce of decency in their bodies would end the moral condemnation.

It's not like plenty of religious denominations haven't already done so. These men refused to because they are disgusting pieces of shit.

Fuck them both. And fuck the people in their churches who go along with their depravity. There are plenty of decent churches to join that aren't run by such revolting animals.
