Hear hear. You know, often when I write about how Christian organizations in the U.S. persecute LGBTQ people, offended Christians reply to me that I should be more worried about Muslims. I look around and ask myself what I'm supposed to be worried about. Muslims exercise effectively zero political power in the U.S., and demographic projections see the situation after say about 40 years leading to ... Muslims exercising effectively zero political power.

Plus, I lived in Detroit, an area that actually HAS a pretty large Muslim population. And guess what? They tend to vote Democratic and support civil rights laws. Dearborn is majority Muslim. Dearborn High School has a thriving LGBTQ student club. Christians scream bloody murder about that club, but not Muslims. Interesting, eh?
