He and my former partner are still very close. Sadly, our breakup was not the friendliest, which put a kink in Brent’s and my relationship. But we’re all in touch sometimes. He’s doing well, way better than anyone ever predicted he would.

He did surprise me once by driving from Montreal to an out of the way New Year’s Eve party in the US that I didn’t know he even knew about.

So that was nice. :-)
