As a gay man who has tried consciously (with varying degrees of success) to throw off chains of patriarchy, I think your conclusion is so important. Racism, sexism, and patriarchy hurt white men profoundly, even when they believe they’re the beneficiaries.

What a scary, lonely place to live.
