Ha! I have one phrase for a person who dared call me gay and suggest that implies I'm not queer: "Fuck you."

I was out in the streets marching with Queer Nation when we were first beginning to reclaim the word queer. For us, the word was inclusive. It meant all members of gender and sexual minorities. We're all persecuted in a pressed for very much the same reasons. We're seeing as gender traitors.

I'm every bit as fucking queer as any other oppressed minority on the gender sexual spectrum.

And I'll say "fuck you" to any other queer person who tries to deny MY queer identity.

I was out there putting my ass on the line, getting my ass arrested, watching cops swarm with clubs raised to beat the fuck out of us as we fought for queer equality.

Anyone who doesn't want to acknowledge that can kiss my ass.
