Ha, I feel your pain! Trying to use the free stock services to illustrate stories about LGBTQ issues is super hard. The paid stock services aren’t that much better.

In Adobe land, gay men are all young, white, and big fashion queens with exquisite test.

Or they’re pornstars carefully posed not to reveal quite too much.

Lesbians? There ARE a handful of decent photos, but once that sand has slipped through your fingers, it’s game over.

Same for LGBTQ people of color. It’s not that zero photos exist in stock portfolios, it’s just that very few exist and once you’ve used them you’re done.

Don’t even get me going on trans stock photos. Ugh, it’s a desert.

Say, maybe we should gather a few talented photographers up and start our own stock photo company.
