I'm a Boomer. That's what the calendar says. When I was a member of Act Up and Queer Nation, almost everybody else in those group was older than me. They were Boomers too.

The people who protested and eventually were able to stop the Vietnam War? Boomers, almost to a woman and man.

And what about all those heroes at Stonewall, out in the streets physically fighting the cops for queer equality?

Many of them were from the "greatest generation," but many more were Boomers.

Some of the most committed progressive activists in our times have been Boomers.
