Great article! Spirituality isn't for me personally, having been so burned by Christianity that I'm not even anxious to explore spiritual alternatives. (That's not to say I don't recognize some sort of personal spirituality, but it's complicated and not compatible with mysticism. But no matter, that's just me.)

In any case, I am fascinated by the rise and alternative spirituality, and I absolutely loved your little anecdote about the Mormon missionaries.

Just thinking about the younger of the two standing there mortified, and then you winking at him, I had a good belly laugh!
