It might be harder this summer finding a pride event to attend than it was last summer. Cities around the United States, mostly in the south, are canceling Pride. Tampa, Florida is the latest city to cancel a major Pride event. Organizers there are concerned about criminal charges that could arise from an anti-drag law that was part of the four-bill "slate of hate" that the governor signed last week.

The minority of people in the United States who hate us queer folks (and who hate Pride) are flexing political muscles, and in many cases they are succeeding.

It's more important than ever that all people of good will find and support a Pride festival this year.
