Great article! I'd like to add that it's interesting how many anti-gay slurs are words used to describe women or femininity. Talk about misogynist! The majority of anti-gay slurs only sting because of how they they compare a gay man to a woman. If the person uttering the slurs didn't think women were lesser than men, then the slurs wouldn't even make sense.

And then we occasionally get gay men calling other gay men sluts as a pejorative. This isn't exactly common, but it happens, and it's really sad that that sort of bald misogyny gets internalized as homophobia.
