From your lips to God's ears. The midterms certainly serve as a sign of hope, especially for LGBTQ people. On the state level however, in states dominated by the Republican Party, lawmakers appear to be doubling down on fierce anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and lawmaking.

Conservative talking heads, even after Colorado Springs and the massacre at Club Q, are hyping anti-LGBTQ talking points in explicitly hateful ways.

I hope you're right and that young people reject this message, and that the Republicans get another thrashing in 2024.

In the meantime, at the state level things remain pretty much as bad as ever in large swaths of the nation. So much so that LGBTQ people are packing up their bags in large numbers and moving to states where the GOP wields less power.
