Yes, I absolutely agree, and I’ve written much the same over the years.

This is also, incidentally, why the gay and trans equality movements have so many interests in common. While transgender people and gay people are unquestionably different from one another, we face much of the same struggle against sexism, without which neither homophobia nor transphobia would make coherent sense.
