For most of my life, starting when I was about 10 years old, I took a book to bed. When I was little, I sometimes also smuggled a flashlight under the blankets to subvert parental expectations of mandatory sleep time. 🤣
But for decades, I read for at least an hour every night before sleep glued my eyes shut.
I realized not too long ago that I had somehow fallen out of that habit, maybe because of phones and devices and all that sort of online stuff that can be so time consuming and distracting.
So I loaded up on Kindle books that I want to read, and I set my phone to go into privacy mode automatically every night at 10:00 p.m. Now, every evening sometime around that time, I settle into bed and into a good read.
I’m back into my lifetime daily habit, and I love it!
