First, there was never an LGB movement. It was always LGBT. Transgender people have always been part of who we were. And if you really think queer equality movements were not militant, you can't possibly know anything about them. Militancy has always been central to our struggles. We have almost never asked for dialogue. We have almost always taken to the streets to demand equality and human rights.

Stonewall was literally a riot.
