First, half dressed cheerleaders and beauty pagenat contestants are clearly "adult concepts." I'm not sure why you'd think otherwise. Parents taking their children to Dallas Cowboys games (or watching on TV) are taking them to an event where adult women cheeleaders perform erotic dance to sexually titillate men and boys. That's pretty darn adult.
Cheerleaders exist almost exclusively to perform erotic dance. Drag queens are not inherently sexual, though they sometimes are when performing for adults.
In events aimed at children, they do things lilke crack jokes and read books while fully clothed in fabulous costumes. That's not sexual. It just isn't.
In the events I wrote about in this story, a restaurant owner advertised a family-friendly drag brunch to the local LGBTQ community. He was doing what restaurant owners do, looking to expand his customer base. Nobody would have attended that brunch by mistake. He had big signs up advertising what the entertainment would be, and the dining room the brunch was in was decorated for the event.
But a bunch of assholes showed up spitting profanities at parents bringing their own children to the brunch. Telling those parents that they're perverts and pedophiles.
That's disgusting. Those people aren't just homophobes. They're fascists.
As to your assertion that teachers or others take children to drag shows without their parents' knowledge, I've never seen any reports about that and I follow the news with hyper focus.
Instead, all summer long Proud Boys and other white supremacists and even self-proclaimed fascists have showed up at Pride events and public libraries to scream profanities at parents bringing their own children to listen to drag queens read stories.
Let's talk about drag queen story hours at public libraries. Small children don't drive themselves to public libaries. Small children don't wander around public libaries on their own. Libraries aren't day care centers and librarians aren't babysitters.
Children at drag queen story hours are there with their parents. Because their parents want them there.
The protesters showing up are doing so to stop parents from raising their children as they see fit.
That's disgusing. It really is.
