Female genital mutilation is clearly an atrocious practice with nothing to justify it.

I’m no fan of circumcising boys, wishing that I had not been myself. The desensitizing effects magnify with age, and I’m no spring chicken anymore. Lol

Somehow, I don’t get as emotionally worked up about it, perhaps given that I think its effects are minor compared to genital mutilation in girls.

Still, I wouldn’t have my own son circumcised if I ever had one, and I think that doctors shouldn’t be performing the procedure without compelling medical reason.
