Fascinating. To understand that humility can run counter to doing a good job is humility itself. I’m caring for my father in the end stages of COPD right now, and I can tell you that healing is coming more from nurses than from medical doctors, not to discount the life saving meds the doctors prescribe. It’s the nurses who connect, and teach, and provide the valuable skills and coping my dad needs to keep his life as productive and happy as it can be for a while.
