Fascinating and important history, thanks! As a PK in 1977, I was bound for Bible college and presumed I would become a pastor. My family knew the Falwells, however, and my sexual awakening had begun to stir great doubts in me, centered around the lack of love and justice in the Evangelical movement. Sadly, the kind of Bible college experience you describe is still the central experience in the educational lives of much of my extended family.
