Brian, are you familiar with the telenovela from Barcelona, ‘Cor de la Ciudad?’ It also featured a teenage gay couple and was very popular, although it’s been a few years now.

Also, given that it was produced in Catalan rather than Spanish, it didn’t go as big as it might have otherwise.

I was pretty startled by it, frankly. The gay teen couple were given scenes that would never have been passed muster in popular American television.
