Fascinating! Being broadly but shallowly read in the history of philosophy, I’m accustomed to seeing major philosophers presented in chronological fashion with their contributions laid out to make it appear that philosophy built itself one step at a time until the discipline reaches contemporary times.
I’m sure what you’re presenting is in no way new, but for an occasionally interested amateur like me, this adds a whole new layer of complexity as it elevates a philosopher I thought was a fairly minor figure into one of vast importance.
