Fantastic examples! I spend so much time as an editor removing words that add nothing but clutter and confusion.

Also, I often complain about long sentences. Even when writers do a great job not using too many words, they can still sabotage clarity by using more commas then periods.

It's tempting to write very long sentences. Clarity often means ending a sentence and starting a new one.

Unless you're David Foster Wallace. And since he's dead, you're probably not. 🤣
