Fantastic article, thank you!

I want critical issue to always keep in mind when writing about conversion therapy, is that almost all state bans in the United States exempt, in one way or another, religious organizations.

This is deeply problematic, because religious practitioners are just about the only people left doing conversion therapy.

For example the Catholic church in Denver is sponsoring conversion therapy right now even though it is against the law in Colorado. They are allowed to do so because they are religious.

As a result of these exceptions, the number of LGBTQ youth experiencing conversion therapy is not trending down, even though bans are becoming more widespread.

This is a problem we need to face up to as a society.
