Except that according to the US CDC, the NIH, and just about every major public health agency in the world, PrEP is a prevention solution, and the key to ending the HIV epidemic in less than a generation. Yes, we need to stress condoms, but condoms aren’t enough (evidently haven’t been enough) to stop the circulation of the virus.

In places where PrEP is aggressively implemented in at-risk populations, new infection rates are seen to plummet, often to near zero.

By smart targeting and the use of the CDC 4-pronged strategy (which depends of liberal use of Truvada), HIV could become exceptionally rare within the next 10 to 15 years.
