Excellent thinking, and I've seen some indications lately that people aren't going to take baseless accusations lightly. Defamation lawsuits are absolutely appropriate here. It costs a lot of money to effectively sue someone for defamation, however, so we really need some well heeled organizations to step up and help make it happen. I've heard on the grapevine that plans are afoot.
