Excellent points all! I think something else that needs to be said is that Obama’s prescience in leveraging stimulus in several different ways to combat the Great Recession of the banking crisis was exactly what our nation needed. It’s really why Trump inherited a decent economy.

Other nations, like the UK, where the political class decided to tighten belts instead of applying massive government stimulus did not grow like we did.

Republicans don’t seem to like giving Obama credit for the post-Great Recession recovery, but I think he deserves it.
