Excellent points all.

And here’s a tip that works for me: If you’re feeling low because you put your heart and soul into a story that ended up sinking like a rock, get back up on the horse as soon as you can and write another excellent story.

As soon as you can.

You need to be creating and being positive to get over the inevitable feeling of rejection about a story that didn’t get the reception it deserved.

Not that I’ve ever poured my heart and soul into a story and then pouted when it sank. Who me? ;-)
