Excellent points. Open carry is nuts, in my opinion. The idea that we want to encourage a society where people walk around armed with lethal weapon? Insane!

I’m unimpressed by Walmart’s new policies, in any case. Banning handgun sales in Alaska? Hell, that’s arguably the only state in the Union where some people legitimately need handguns. (Grizzly bear protection.)

Not selling handguns and ammunition in the continental US isn’t going to help anything. They need to stop selling long arms, especially semiautomatic ones.

That would be meaningful change.

I’m with you. If I see someone walking around in public armed? I’m out.
