Excellent explainer! Though, I think basically nobody sincerely or honestly believes "cis" is a slur. The only people I ever see advance that position are people who are implacably opposed to equality for transgender people, people who display over-the-top hostility toward transgender people.

They hate the cis prefix because it takes trans for granted.
