this talk of grooming, over merely mentioning or acknowledging LGBTQ children and families, serves to minimize, even trivialize, real sexual abuse. Grooming is usually meant to refer to behavior that sexual abusers use to manipulate victims into letting their guard down before being raped.

That sense is being lost in the current rush to push LGBTQ people back as far as possible into the closet, to declare us too shameful for school.
