Excellent analysis, alto. It’s a shame I won’t be able to see LaMar’s response, if he makes one.

He’s blocked me.

It seems to me that there is one overarching concern here that LaMar refuses to address. He supports the LDS Church. He gives them money.

They use his support in their campaigns to hurt us politically and socially.

I keep pointing that out to him and he keeps saying absolutely nothing to me in response to that.

And I mean nothing. Its like I’m not even saying it. I’ve told him over and over that he MUST address that issue if he wants to be the friend he says he is.

His response?

Silence and/or deflection.

I don’t get it. My point is obvious and necessary.

If LaMar thinks we ought to overlook his support of an institution that works actively to oppress us, then LaMar is at once arrogant, patronizing, and condescending.

If he thinks he can just ignore the 500 pound gorilla in the room, he’s also delusional.

The LDS Church is guilty of committing great evil. They have harmed us, and they continue to actively seek to harm us.

If LaMar thinks we’re just going to forget that he empowers and enables that evil institution, he’s out of his freaking mind.
