Exactly! Lightbulb. I had a guy following me around on Facebook for a while, leaving negative comments about my story announcements. (Kind of weird, I mostly don’t engage people on Facebook. I just post my links and run.)

I tried answering him. Reasonably and calmly. And he just kept at it. Finally, I realized he wasn’t even reading my stories — or mostly not. He was just being contrary as a sport or something.

He was sapping my energy.

So I pressed the block button, and tada! One less toxic thing to worry about.
