Exactly, because your story will only be seen while it’s up higher in the timeline. Curated stories have “legs” and often keep getting attention for a few days after they were curated.

I had a story that wasn’t curated the other day, and it made me mad, because I thought it was important and deserved attention. I was glad to see that lots of people apparently agreed, because it got really big views…

… that died out completely after 24 hour. Because that’s about all the time your story has before it slips off the timeline.

Unless it’s curated.
