Every year, every Pride season, you can count on a few people proclaiming the need for a straight-pride month.
Well, you know what? If straight people ever get bullied in school for being straight, if straight people ever start getting denied housing for being straight, if straight people ever start routinely having slurs directed at them because they're straight, if churches ever start excluding people because they're straight, if families ever start rejecting straight people because they're straight ...
Maybe then there will be a need for a straight pride month.
I don't see that happening, do you?
In the meantime, the proponents of a "straight pride" invariably propose their ideas and events to highlight how much they hate LGBTQ Pride.
In doing so, they highlight why and how much LGBTQ Pride month is critical and necessary.
