Every LGBTQ person you know has stories of family rejection. That’s kind of stunning, but I can only chime in with agreement.

Oh, I know a few LGBTQ people who report having never experienced any family difficulties, but their stories are so rare that people celebrate them as amazing and exceptional.

One day, we’ll get to a place where that’s ordinary. But the struggle is hard.
