Emily Swan, I was beyond shocked when I read about her death yesterday. I didn’t even know she was in the hospital, so the news came like a big fist in the dark.

I had a brief flash of wishing you would write about it, not knowing you even had a connection with her. I think she’d be so pleased that you can tell her story and help people understand some of the principles she cared so much about.
