Early yesterday morning, Tucker Lieberman posted a fairly exhaustive article about the contents of the Texas Republican platform. It's pretty much MAGA distilled, with a few elements of Texas separatism thrown in for spice.

Texas Republicans are telling us that they want to put the parents of queer kids in prison. They want to throw teachers in prison. They want to sweep library shelves of queer content, and I don't mean in public schools — I mean in municipal libraries too.

On the national level, there's Project 2025, a published Republican playbook for how to dismantle and disrupt the US government and democratic norms after Trump takes power.

It's a road map to making him a dictator, and it's also a road map to violently persecute and imprison queer people, among other marginalized groups.

They really are telling us exactly what they plan to do if they take power.

Is this 1933 again, or will we choose a different road?
