During the very same time period Gaby Petito went missing, a Black trans woman in Miami disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Her family feared the worst. They and LGBTQ advocates begged for press coverage. But outside some small queer online publications, dismissing woman was for the most part ignored.

Well the Washington post, the New York times, and even the Guardian in far away UK for crying out loud, we're devoting front page coverage to this pretty missing white woman, I'm missing queer Black woman got no love.

Both women were found dead, but most of us only know about the cis/straight white woman.
