Donna, one of the reasons I included Keith Haring’s background in the Jesus Movement was to emphasise that the problem here is not religion itself or even Christianity. Haring was motivated toward love and compassion by his Christian beliefs. As are so many! It’s disheartening to see some Christians, like Thomas Tobin, promoting shame and disrespect instead of love.
