Do you see part of the problem stemming from academia’s increasing reliance on extremely low-wage adjuncts to teach undergraduates?

I don’t understand the problem from a data point of view, but personally and anecdotally it seems significant.

I know adjuncts who would do better financially in the food service industry than in academia.

This can’t be healthy for the system.
