Do what I do and just post bird pictures and other hobby things on Instagram. ;-)

Seriously, I stay away from gay Instagram for exactly that reason. I mean, I’m pushing sixty now so it doesn’t matter much anymore anyway. Doesn’t matter how much I go to the gym, I’m not going to be that guy.

But, you know, I do spend a lot of time on social media and I do talk to an awful lot of gay men and have really interesting conversations.

It’s just that you have to find that different world. Lots of gay guys are not looking for Instagram influencers to be friends with.

I sure see the problem, though, and I very much agree with your message. We gay men can be very toxic with one another. When I was in my thirties and forties, things were already bad enough. But I suspect they’re getting worse and not better.
