Did you read the article? I’m writing about living in the United States, where to the best of my knowledge, no LGBTQ people are being thrown off roofs. I presume you are speaking about some of the practices of the Islamic State terrorist organization that used to operate in parts of the Levant and that now also has operations in Afghanistan. This may come as a surprise to you, but LGBTQ people in the United States don’t crave just a little more freedom than people living in states dominated my terrorists.

In the United States, Christians wield power, they are in a strong majority, and they use the power of their majority to harm LGBTQ people. Every day. All the time.
