Did you post the wrong link by mistake? It points to a story you wrote and not to data about the past perfect tense going out of use. Where I live, and in all the reading I do, that tense is constantly used. So I commented to tell you I believe you're wrong. If you aren't wrong, I'd appreciate seeing some data that shows you are correct.
