Deserving an honorable mention in the category is probably the 1965 one-season series, "My Mother the Car," about a man whose dead mother comes back as a needs-much-work jalopy and communicates with him through the radio. It was not a smash hit, but people remember it fondly sometimes. I have vague memories of watching it as a small child, but I think the concept is mostly what I remember. Definitely not a western, but interesting!
