Deb is wise! I’ll never forget a winter’s night driving up to my buddy’s cabin in the mountains of Maine while a good bit of snow was falling, though nothing like a blizzard.

We were driving quite slowly just because the roads weren’t the greatest, but nobody was looking for moose. Until a cow moose skated right out in front of us!

She apparently had some pressing need to cross the road, but the icy pavement caught her off guard. She gave us the goofiest look as her legs sort of splayed out and she slid on the ice in generally but not completely the correct direction.

We were able to stop thanks to chains on the tires. The moos went on her way with something very close to a polite nod of her head. She may have actually been telling us to watch for moose from now on!
