Death by a thousand cuts is a great way to put it. The GOP is doing everything they can in certain states to inflict those cuts, presuming they'll be removing black people and other marginalized people from voter rolls. They're barely pretending that exclusion isn't their purpose.

They say that those you don't know their history are doomed to repeat it. Well, we do know our history, and we're repeating it anyway — with lots of assists from the current highly conservative US Supreme Court.

We need to be better and do better than this as a nation.
